Guide to the Attractions of Miami.

Which are the Miami attractions that had the most visitors and the best reviews on these last few years? Miami is a big city, famous for its beaches and the life style.

The City of Miami.

The city has plenty of attractions. It's a major center in commerce, trade, culture, entertainment, arts, a mecca of tourism and it's the most populated city of South Florida.

We could say that is a trendy city when we see famous and well known personalities of the sports and entertainment coming to settle their base camps here.

Miami has in the past and it continues in the present attracting celebrities of the music, film and sports industry. Since the 1980's with the famous show of Miami Vice, the movie Scarface, the music of Gloria Estefan and the Miami South Machine the city’s cultural appeal had gone around the world!

Since the 1980's with the famous show of Miami Vice, the movie Scarface, the music of Gloria Estefan and the Miami South Machine the city’s cultural appeal had gone around the world!

Other celebrities attracted by the tropical moods, the festive ambiance, and the exotic glamorous living had moved to Miami.

The Bee Gees, Madonna, Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Sylvester Stallone, Enrique Iglesias, Ana Kournikova, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston,  David Caruso, Cher, Shaquill O'Nail, Nicolas Cage, Rosie O'Donnell, Lenny Kravitz and the Miami's Heat Basketball Team Stars are among the famous that live permanently or temporarily in Miami.

Let's take a closer look at Miami.

Miami's Downtown District.

It was reported by the U.S Census Bureau, that this is the seventh most populated city and the fourth largest urban area in the U.S. with a population of close to 6 million.

This one is a multicultural city that dances to the rhythm of salsa, meringue, reggae, and other tropical Caribbean influenced sounds. Also named the Bridge of the Americas due to its closed relationship with countries of Central, South America and the Caribbean.

You'll see a display of this multicultural flavor at the annual Calle 8 Carnival of Little Havana, the Art Deco fest and Memorial Day in Miami Beach,  spring break, ...food, music, dance and color.

This cultural mix is one of the Miami attractions. And turn on the heat, because Miami is alive an kicking during the summer!

From Miami to the Florida Keys and from the Florida Keys to Miami.

It’s a never ending and very close relationship! Being at only a few hours away it's natural that a close relationship would had flourish among this two South Florida territories.

But notice that the two have different characteristics and a unique flavor and life of their own. *I thought that you might like to know this, since this website is dedicated mostly to this great territory of the Florida Keys.

"Miami City" is the big metropolis with the skyscrapers, modern, sophisticated and fashionable, with the cultural mix of the moment, the big sporty events, headed by the "Miami Heat" basketball team , while the Florida Keys are these tropical islands of the modern world, perhaps more conservative with a unique life style, more relax and in tune with mother nature .

And chances are that if you like the Florida Keys you will also like Miami. We are all part of a big human family!

Miami has plenty of places of entertainment, live music, and festivities to choose from. If what you need is excitement, here is plenty of it! The Latin flavored party scene has been one of the Miami attractions since the early 1960's when the first Cuban immigrants introduced the Latin sounds and cultural influences to this part of South Florida, fallowed be other Caribbean and Latin American cultures.

These are places that you can visit here.
