The first time that a man tried to use a kite to move from one place to another goes as far back to the era in which the famous Japanese thief named Ishikawa invented a man lifting kite to try to steal some precious ornamental fish images from the Nagoya Castle in the province of Hinzen in Japan.

After this reportedly successful, grossly offensive and highly ingenious thief maneuver some other men continued experimenting with kites whether is just for pure entertainment, scientific exploration or a bird like flying syndrome.

Finally after some exploration on this field of aerodynamics in the 1970's kite boarding was in its way to become officially one of the most exiting extreme water sports ever, and what many consider the faster growing water sport today.
