Kayaking, Canoeing and Paddleboarding.

The Florida Keys kayaking trip of over 100 miles that begins at John Pennekamp in Key Largo and ends in Key West, takes almost a week to complete, and besides being a one of a kind adventurous experience is also an opportunity to encounter the tropical splendor of this region.

This is one of the preferred trails for many veterans’ paddlers in South Florida, and Florida has lots of paddling trails and waterways to cruise on; salt and fresh water paddling trails, on rivers, swamps, salt marsh, mangroves, lakes and shores.

It's possible to circumnavigate South Florida and the Florida Keys through a series of water ways and channels, and while exploring these trails we come into close contact with our natural habitat and the ecological community of the region; birds, animals and plants.

These long trips are carefully planned and masterminded by the most audacious and savvy of paddlers, some long journeys as long as 5000 miles had been completed by record breaking paddlers.

*In 2008 Bethany and Dan Cox started a kayaking trip along the East Coast of the U.S, all the way from Maine to Key West.

Some paddlers had completed to entire Circumnavegational Florida Saltwater Paddling Trail, and someone is always breaking the previous long distance paddling records established by other paddlers.

The 1515 mile Florida trail is divided into 26 sections, each being a trail on its own and it begins at Big Lagoon State Park in Pensacola, Florida stretching around the Florida Peninsula ending at Fort Clinch State Park near the state Georgia in the northern section of Florida.

During a kayaking trip on this trail you'll paddle through the different coastal habitats of the peninsula, from the swampy areas of the Everglades, salt mashes, mangroves, inter coastal waterways, barrier islands dunes, the Florida Bay wilderness and many historical sites and points of interests.
